FAQs
First question we ask is, why are you not home when there’s a gelato delivery?! But seriously, we will SMS you the night before the delivery and once the gelato has been delivered. We will endeavour to leave it in a safe place (including out of direct sunlight) but we do strongly advise that you place your gelato in the freezer within the recommended timeframes for the optimal gelato quality. It is important to note that no liability can be taken once the gelato has been delivered to you.
As you can appreciate, all houses come in different shapes and sizes. If access to the residence is not self explanatory, please leave us a note in the “Delivery Notes” section at time of order.
If the gelato delivery is going to a closed apartment building or a house with a gate, we will require as much information as you can provide. At time of order, fill in the “Delivery Notes” section with the recipient’s name and contact number so we can call you when the gelato has arrived. That will ensure a smooth delivery process on the day.
If your house has a dog, unfortunately we cannot risk the safety of our delivery driver. On the day of the gelato delivery, please ensure your dog is kept inside the house, in the backyard or fill in the “Delivery Notes” section with the recipient’s name and contact number so we can call you when the gelato has arrived to collect it.
Any subscriptions made prior to/on the last day of the month will be delivered on the first Saturday of the month.
For example: If you subscribed, or your subscription renewed on any day in October, your delivery will be included in the delivery run on the first Saturday of November.
It is important the gelato is put in the freezer as soon as possible. We strongly recommend that you bring the delivery inside and put the tubs in the freezer immediately upon delivery. Unfortunately we cannot provide a specific answer, the timeframe is dependent on many variables.
There is an aspect of common sense that needs to be applied. On a hot day the gelato will start melting within the first 15 minutes. On a colder day there is a window of approximately 30 minutes before the quality of the gelato starts to degrade.
It is important to note that no liability can be taken once the gelato has been delivered to you.
Please ensure you double, triple check when placing your order as once payment has been processed, all order details including flavour choices are final and cannot be amended until next month’s subscription. This allows us sufficient time to start creating the magic in the gelato factory!
If your contact details including address and contact number is incorrect, please email us immediately on info@thegelatoclub.com.au and we will contact you.
Whatever your heart desires! Your flavours are locked in at the end of every billing cycle. When your account gets billed, whatever flavours are nominated in your account will be delivered on the next delivery run. Any flavour changes can be made within your customer account and must be changed prior to your monthly billing cycle.
Going on a holiday? No problems! Please press pause on your gelato account prior to your billing cycle. If your payment has already been processed, then your order will still proceed.
We will aim to have all orders delivered in the morning (AM) of the first Saturday of every month. If there are significant orders that day, there is a chance that the deliveries will run through to the afternoon.
If your gelato order is going to be delivered in the afternoon, we will advise by SMS the day before. If it is critical that your order be delivered in the morning (AM), then please email info@thegelatoclub.com.au and we will contact you.

We deliver our gelato frozen and will send you a SMS once the gelato has been delivered. Unfortunately, if it has been left out of the freezer for too long, it will melt. Please don’t forget about the gelato and put it in the freezer immediately (after a sneaky spoon of course!).
While we can’t promise that every flavour request will turn into gelato, we welcome flavour suggestions all the time!
